TANK: They had this. They had this dude. He's, like, a new welder or, like, he just graduated school, maybe, like, three months ago. He's like 22 and they were trying to get him to do something that, basically they know. They weren't gonna get us to do it. So “let's get the new guy that doesn't really know what's going on or is new to the this environment to get him to do this job that may not be so safe.” So, you know, we're letting them know, like you put them on game for one because, like, okay, you know you're a part of this, like this brotherhood of welders. “You don't do shit that you think is going to either get you killed, get you hurt, or put you in a position to where you're going to get fired and not be able to come back to certain, certain plants, or whatever, this, that and third,” so we just giving them game, or like, telling them, like, you know, “It's certain things you do is certain things you don't do, certain places you go in the world, certain places you don't go in the world, certain places that you wait for somebody to come check out before you go do this, that. And third,” and he was just like, “Well, man, you know, I mean, I'm getting paid, you know, I'm getting paid this, that. And I've never got paid as much in my life.”

J!REH : Yeah.

TANK : [And an older dude] He was like, Okay, I understand that. I felt the same way when I graduated making all this money, you know, it's new to me. You know, I've never had it before, everything, everything I'm able to do with it, you know, it's new to me. He's like, “let me ask you this question though, how much is your life worth?” He was like, “No, I got something better for you. How much is your dignity worth? And when I'm asking you about your dignity, I'm asking you, can that white man come up here and give you $1 amount and get you to do anything that he tell you to do for that dollar amount, if it's high enough?” And shit that nigga had me sitting there thinking for a minute like, “Do I have $1 amount that I would do some like that for like, is there $1 amount?” And you could tell, like, the young guy was just like, sitting there thinking, like, he's like, “No, I don't, I don't think there's enough money in the world for me to want to hurt myself.” He was like, Okay, now you see that kind of a mindset, or get you four, but the mindset of, I'll do anything for $1 amount. I've seen a lot of people come and I've seen a lot of people leave out of here, whether that be by themselves or someone having to carry them out. Then they just left it Like damn, old school . I aint know you kick game like that.

TANK: Just sat with that shit and let it sizzle .. god damn alright…. Nah, Like real talk, like I had to think to myself, like, is there, is there an amount of money that I would do a certain thing for, like, and I had to really think about that. And that comes down to, like, your morals, like, integrity, like everything. And I really had to think about that. And I thought like, do I know somebody, is there anybody in my life that would do something for $1 amount, or they would stoop to a certain level in order to get a certain amount of pay. And, yeah, yeah, some people would, some people I know probably would.
